Hey, Hey, What Can I Do? (Led Zeppelin)
So, yes…basically, this week has been so crazed with obligations that I am involved with that all I can sing is…what can I do???
Last week, it was Santa Land readiness…this week, it’s all about the Monument Square District Holiday Gala. As the board secretary, and cocktail supervisor, AND, this year, a food provider along with Oakview Farm Meats…well, yes, busy!!!
So, it brings me to this…It’s Tuesday, the holiday is over, it’s time to get your orders in, we close at 10pm!!
I am busy, you are busy, let’s all make it easy…order from us, let us do the work, what else can I say? Let your love of local take control…

Don’t forget all our eggs, fruits & vegetables, local honey, & jams!
Pickup of your order will be at Square Books, 113 E. Main St, Manchester, from 3:00-4:30 on Thursday. No Friday morning pickup will be available this week, sorry. But if the Thursday pickup time is a problem this week, please call me at (931) 273-9708 to arrange a pickup time.

ALFN Local Food Club: It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
I do so love the transition from autumn to winter. The constant crisp in the air. The extra-thick comforter on the bed. The ever-present smell of cinnamon. There’s really only one thing about this time of year that I can’t stand, and that’s shopping. The noise. The traffic. The crowds. Spending hours trudging store to store only to come home with bags full of the same things that everyone else bought.
Lucky for me, the fantastic vendors on The Market offer a myriad of gift-worthy goods, and you can check out an awesome assortment of them this Saturday! We’ll have an entire table devoted to extras that’ll make perfect presents for everyone on your list. Come by early for the best selection, and bring an extra bag or two because you’ll definitely want one of everything.

Cape Locally Grown: Thankful after Thanksgiving!
Greetings!!
How was your Thanksgiving? We hope you had a great time enjoying the fruits of this year’s harvest with family and friends. We always make it a tradition to save the bounty of our gardens for Thanksgiving and remember the joys and tough times of the year through partaking of a feast together.
Speaking of food…it’s that time again to partake of the availability of your local food supply! We have more products available this week, as our growers and their products are growing!
We welcome this week, Cream of the Crust, a small Cape micro-creamery making gourmet ice creams utilizing local fruits for all to enjoy. It’s a great idea to support local food processors like Charlie and Lisa at Cream of the Crust.
Take the chill off this winter and get cozy with the warmest alpaca wool products from Jan and Jim at Three Sisters!
Also, check out the organic sweet potatoes from Manoor Manor (they will be going fast!). Katey and David are doing a great job on their picturesque farm in the Ozark foothills!
Don’t forget the delicious and nutritious grass-fed beef from Double B Ranch, and the organically grown salad greens and sourdough breads from Green’s Garden.
Pick-up will be Saturday in downtown Cape for Cape folks and for folks west of Cape, we offer another Saturday pick-up location at Patton Junction.
As always, we appreciate your support as we work to build your local food supply, increasing opportunity for farmers, and strengthening the connection to your food!
